The Patung Pemuda Membangun (Statue of Nation Development by the Youth), is an important cultural landmark in the City of Jakarta (wm: WMACGF). It is also fortunate enough to be surrounded by a fountain. The fountain is relatively simple in design, with larger jets towards the front of the statue, small to the side. The fountain is an estimated 15m in diameter, and is situated on a large traffic roundabout, at a busy intersection.
The statue and fountain were constructed in the early 1970s.
