The town of McLoud has a population of approximately 3600. Directly east of Oklahoma City in Pottawatomie County, it is on Highway 270 (S.E. 29th Street in OKC), at the intersection of Highway 102 from the north.
The town was established in 1895. The City of McLoud building is located at 107 N. Main Street and houses the administrative offices of the town. The offices are open Mon-Fri 9-12, 1-5. Phone: 405-964-5264.
South of these administrative offices, on the cross street of W. Broadway is an additional City building, a metal building called Shannon Fredman Municipal Building. The City Council meetings are held here on the 4th Thursday of each month at 7PM. The Council has a representative from each of four Wards, and one member at-large.
