Galston Library
Galston Library is one of five branches of the Hornsby Library and Information Service.
The branch library has been serving local residents since 1973 when it was established in a small shop front. It moved to its present location in 1986 when the de-consecrated 1938 Emmanuel church building was acquired by the council after the church closure in 1983. The building still retains the character of a church with stained glass windows on the Eastern side and a cross at the peak.
The library resources can be searched from home by library members with Internet access but this branch does not offer internet access to the public, nor does it have a reading room as the available space is filled with bookshelves.
