The festival offering a wide spectrum of musical genres performed by renowned Czech and international artists, the Festival is held every July and August in the charming UNESCO world heritage town of Ceský Krumlov.
As the largest cultural event in Southern Bohemia, its importance reaches far beyond regional borders. With traditional patronage of the President of the Czech Republic and other international dignitaries, The International Music Festival Ceský Krumlov is a member of the Association of Music Festivals, Czech Republic.
The International Music Festival (IMF) Ceský Krumlov is considered a multi-genre music festival. It thus addresses a wider spectrum of target groups. Represented genres include: opera, symphonic concerts, chamber concerts of classical music, jazz, as well as folklore, worldmusic, and rock.
In 2010, the 19th IMF Ceský Krumlov presented a series of concerts from baroque, classical, and romantic, to jazz and famous musicals.
The 20th year of IMF Cesky Krumlov will take place from July 15 to August 20, 2011. It will be the year of “Three Tenors” - Plácido Domingo, Ramón Vargas and José Cura.
