A handful of concrete storage silos tower over the small town of Readlyn. The Farmer’s Co-op is a farmer-owned grain elevator that serves the farmer’s needs in Dairy, Feed, and Grain divisions. It is often referred to as the “heartbeat of the town” as it bustles with activity during harvest season, trucks and wagons lined up waiting to unload their corn and beans.
The movie “Country” was filmed at many Bremer County landmarks, and the Farmer’s Co-op in Readlyn was one of those sites.
