The building has a bowed frontage to it and had been closed for repairs. It appears that the bow front was not properly fixed to the main part of the building.
Not long after the repairs started the front started to lean and looked set to collapse into the road. (

The Good Food Shop, a bistro that occupied the ground floor had closed temporarily for a few weeks but had to extend the time they were closed.
Demolition experts were brought in and took down the front of the building. (

The building company P.A. Whitehead of nearby town Ilkley then rebuilt it. They did a magnificent job and have restored the building to its former glory.
