Giovanni's is as close as you can get to visiting a bakery in Italy. The owners, brothers Tony and Bruno Russo, came to the United States from Bracigliano, Italy and opened this authentic Italian bakery in Agawam. Tony and Bruno do the baking while Tony's wife Theresa greets the flow of customers.
The store is filled with all kinds of breads, pies, cakes, Italian cookies, and genuine Italian pastries (sfogliatelle, cannoli, pasticiotti, eclairs, napoleons, baba - they have it all)
Attached to the bakery is an indoor cafe where you can have an espresso or cappuccino with your pastry and if the weather cooperates there is an outdoor seating area. In the summertime they do a brisk business serving gelato.
