A piece that relies on sound and people noticing the art work!

Soundwalk is located under the sidewalk on Curtis Street next to the Federal Reserve building. The piece is unassuming to the eye - stainless steel grates in the sidewalk. But when a person walks by and triggers the motion sensors, the show begins! You may hear a drum piece, the subway (Denver does not have a subway!), chickens, etc. I have 'recorded' some of the current sound pieces (visit link) . There are many different pieces of sound; they change over time, so it is always a surprise! Sound Artist Jim Green's site includes this enjoyable video (it takes a minute or so to start) (visit link) .

This is an often overlooked (OK, maybe underheard?) public art located in downtown Denver.

DIFFERENCES NOTED BETWEEN THE INVENTORY LISTING AND YOUR OBSERVATIONS AND RESEARCH:
This wonderful piece is a joy to both 'trigger' and watch others 'discover' the unusual sounds. It works a majority of the time. Sounds include drums, roars, trains, etc. I sometimes walk this way just to enjoy the piece. You are welcome to embed the link of the recordings for others to enjoy.
