Third order vertical control mark, monumented in 1980. It is in Wild River State Park, Amador Township.
The disk is set on a copper clad rod without sleeve, and is flush with the ground. A steel spike next to the monument makes it magnetic.
The horizontal coordinates were established by differentially corrected hand held GPS (HH1). The location is observable by satellite, but GPS will only work in winter.
It is in the southeast quad of Section 8, Township 35 N, Range 19 W.
3.7 MILES NORTHEAST OF ALMELUND, 3.1 MILES NORTHEAST OF JUNCTION OF COUNTY ROAD 12 AND TRUNK HIGHWAY 95, THEN 1.45 MILES EAST AND NORTH ON STATE PARK SERVICE ROAD, 1.15 MILES EAST AND NORTH OF PARK OFFICE, 43 FEET EAST OF PARK ROAD NORTH, 16 FEET NORTH OF ROAD TO PICNIC GROUNDS, 24.3 FEET SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF 24 INCH OAK TREE, 21.8 FEET WEST OF 18 INCH POPLAR TREE, 6.5 FEET EAST OF STOP SIGN, 0.8 FEET WEST OF WITNESS POST, LOCATED IN CUSHING WISCONSIN QUADRANGLE.
