The green rolling landscape is indicative of the land around here. The wheat on the sign with a rotting grain elevator is a tribute to Darlingford's rich farming heritage but unfortunately the grain elevator has been torn down. The brick Memorial building is for Darlingford Memorial and Park which is a Manitoba Provincial Heritage Site. Built in 1921, this small Gothic-inspired memorial building is the only free-standing memorial building in Manitoba with the sole function of commemorating the war dead.
