A wonderful conversion. The trail goes two downtowns (plenty of eat and drink opportunites), follows the bank of the river for miles (beautiful views of the water, boats, waterfowl[pelicans, cormorants, gulls, & geese] and parks), goes through various neighborhoods, is blacktopped for the entire urban area (5.4 miles), and then extends quite a bit further on crushed rock (currently, 13+ miles).
Horses are allowed on the grassy areas along the country parts of the trail. Bike and rollerblades require trail passes (I paid $15.00 for my yearly)
A few more facts: trail gives a great view of the campus of St. Nobert College, and becuase the college is so close, is used frequently by the coeds; a small but super-friendly bike shop -- The Bike Hub -- is located off the trail and is very useful if you have problems; there are numerous parking areas along the trail--parking is never a problem; and, the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon uses the trail for the second half of its run, and continues into the Packer stadium.
