La Rambla de Catalunya is a major shopping street in Barcelona. At the far end of this long avenue (northeast end) has been located since 1972 a funny statue of giraffe called La girafa coqueta" (coquettish giraffe). It is the work of Josep Granyer i Giralt, a Catalan Sculptor born in Barcelona. The installation of this statue was sponsored by the residents of Rambla de Catalunya.
