Mac Johnson Wildlife Area Nature Center - Brockville, Ontario - Nature Centers on Waymarking.com

I'm actually a "Friend" of the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area, known to me all my life as "Back Pond". This area includes 532 hectares of wetland, field and forest. The reservoir is also a Class 1 provincially significant wetland with a high diversity of plant and animal life. In the Wildlife area there's also hiking, canoeing, skiing, picnicking and various educational programs and family fun days. The majority of these activities occur or at least start at the Nature Center, which is the primary meeting point for educational and recreational ventures. I've come out here with schools on nature hikes and have assisted with family fun days and participated in the birding days out here as well. It's such a great place to enjoy nature and the Nature Center is the heart of it all.
