Escondido, a northern suburb of San Diego, is probably best known as being the home of the San Diego Zoo Safari Park (previously named the Wild Animal Park). It is also the origin of the term "going postal" from when an employee of the Orange Glen Station of the Escondido Post Office gunned down several fellow employees.
