In year 2005, the first Hooters in Germany opened. It was not in Berlin or in another big city, but in a town in Saarland, named Neunkirchen.
Als am 18.11.2005 das erste Hooters in Deutschland eröffnete, geschah dies nicht etwa in Berlin oder in einer anderen deutschen Metropole, sondern im beschaulichen Neunkirchen im Saarland. Und während andere europäische Filialen der umstrittenen Restaurantkette inzwischen längst schon wieder geschlossen haben, besteht dieses hier nach wie vor. Über die Geschäftsstrategie mag man streiten... aber in den USA ist die Idee, die ihren Ursprung angeblich am Stammtisch eines Golfclubs fand, seit inzwischen fast 30 Jahren ein Erfolg.
