Tipton Graves - Rogan Cemetery - Oklahoma City, OK - Homemade Tombstones on Waymarking.com

Located on the south side of N.E. 63rd Street, just east of Coltrane, two cemeteries stand side by side, with no signage or fencing separating them. The area on the west is heavily treed and the grass was very high at the time of our visit. We noticed many homemade headstones, and many rocks marking grave sites, with no inscriptions. We also noticed quite a few military headstones.

This Waymark is documenting two almost identical homemade headstones which lie about ten feet apart. The coordinates shown above are for the marker for Cynthia Tipton. Janice Tipton's marker is located at 35 32.150 97 26.017.

Both markers are for children - Cynthia who was 16 months and Janice who was just over one month old. The markers were created eight years apart. Each is a concrete slab flat on the ground, which is approximately 15" x 45". The inscriptions have been marked when the concrete was wet and read:
