The railway station of Beinwil am See opened on October 15, 1883 as a part of Seetalbahn from Luzern to Lenzburg.
The line from Luzern to Lenzburg became the S9 of the Luzern commuter train system in 2004. There is one train every 30 minutes in each direction during peak times, once an hour for the rest of the day.
The original station building is still there and maintaned but not manned anymore. It looks like it is used as a warehouse.
