The Tweed Cenotaph is located in Memorial Park, in Tweed, Ontario. Memorial Park was built to honour the memory of Tweed citizens who took part in the Great War and gave their lives in defence of freedom.
The text engraved on the monument reads as follows:
"Dedicated to the Glory of God and to the memory of our citizens who gave their lives in the service of their country."
"THEIR NAMES LIVETH FOREVERMORE"

Description of Memorial: The cenotaph is located in a beautifully landscaped corner of Memorial Park. It stands in a raised area and can easily be seen by people entering the park. The grey granite monument which measures approximately 8 feet high rests on a granite plinth on which is written: "THEIR NAMES LIVETH FOREVERMORE". Below the plinth is a granite base measuring approximately 2.5 feet high and on which are written the names of the citizens who gave their lives.
