Kathleen Clover died Monday, March 1, 2004, after a long illness. She was born in Warsaw, Indiana, and raised in Glenolden, Pennsylvania, after which she lived for several years in Cambridge, Mass., before moving to Pittsburgh in 1990. Ms. Clover graduated from Interboro High School at age 15, attended Bryn Mawr College and later enlisted and served as a medic in the Army. She received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and graduated from Harvard Law School, after which she was clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Robert Keeton in Boston. In Pittsburgh, Ms. Clover was an associate of the law firm of Jones Day Reavis & Pogue, where she practiced corporate law. She subsequently worked in the legal departments of Rockwell International and PNC Bank. At the time of her death, Ms. Clover was assistant general counsel of Education Management Corp. Ms. Clover was vice president and program chairman of the Pittsburgh chapter of the American Society of Corporate Secretaries. She also was an active member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Highland Park, where she had served as senior warden of the vestry.
