The Barite Rose is the state rock of Oklahoma. They are found in a very narrow strip of Garber Sandstone, and occur most predominately in southeastern Oklahoma.

It is legal for each person to collect up to 6 rose rocks at Lake Stanley Draper park, but you cannot dig more than 6 inches deep to get them (and you must fill in your holes).
Look for exposed escarpments of deep red Gerber sandstone (like in the waymark photo), and get to work!
The coordinates are to a parking area on the east side of the lake. You have to find your own digging spot! :)
