There is been a church in Mickleham since Saxon times, and the church is mentioned in the Doomsday Book.

This church has a ring of six bells. There is not a lot of history on the world wide web about these bells. However, there is a brass plaque inside the church which reads

"The four larger bells completing the peel of six bells were given by Dame Elizabeth Lawrence to the glory of God and in the memory of Sir James John Trevor Lawrence Baronet K.C.V.O. of Burford in this parish who departed this life on the 22nd day of December in the year of our Lord 1913 ages 81 years. Praise the Lord"
