Troldhaugen consists of the Edvard Grieg Museum, Grieg’s villa, the hut where he composed music, and his and his wife's gravesite. Guided tours of the villa run continuously for both groups and individual tourists. Frequent public concerts are held, particularly in the summer season (daily).
Bergen is the second largest city in Norway, with more than 225 000 inhabitants. It is situated on the west coast of Norway. The city centre is located west in the municipality, facing the fjord of Byfjorden. It is situated among a group of mountains known as the Seven Mountains.
Top attractions in Bergen include Bryggen (Hanseatic Wharf), the Fløibanen Funicular to the top of Mount Floyen, the Fish Market, the Edvard Grieg Museum at Troldhaugen and Fantoft Stave Church.
Bergen is a beautiful and interesting city, well worth the visit (even under the rain). Our pictures show a view of Bergen from Mount Floyen, Edvard Grieg's villa at Troldhaugen, Bergen typical narrow street and wooden houses and the famous fish market.
