This is a beacon amongst the reservoirs on a hill in Nelspruit. Please see access info below as it's not always accessible.
Waymark Code: WMG7R9
Location: Mpumalanga, South Africa

The obvious way to the beacon is from Ludik street, but the gate is normally locked. There are quite often workmen in the enclosure doing maintenance or cutting the grass, etc, then you can ask them if you can visit the beacon and we're sure they'll oblige. The beacon is close to the Ludik Street entrance, but the location is very overgrown and can't be seen from outside the enclosure. You need to approach the beacon from behind (the reservoir side).
The other option is the gate by the circle in Piet Retief/Mostert Street - you might be able to sneak in there for a quick visit to the beacon. At the time of listing this waymark, it was unlocked, and had been for months - a slipup when the fence was repainted. However, parking can be a problem - please don't park at the circle. Rather park in Rothery or Russel Street and walk 50m.
Altitude (m): 751
Beacon Type: Peak
Beacon Construction: Standard beacon

Visit Instructions:We don't require you to provide any specific proof of your visit, but we do request that you upload photos if possible, the more the merrier.
Ideally, you should try to take photos at the actual beacon location, but if that isn't possible (private property, terrain, etc), then photos taken from a distance are also welcome, especially if the beacon is visible in the photo.
