This concrete abstraction of a Native American teepee is located in the Wasta Rest Area at 18070 Interstate 90 just east of Wasta, South Dakota.

Apparently, designers of South Dakota's highway safety rest areas decided to incorporate this large abstract of a teepee at many of the rest areas on South Dakota's highways. Made of concrete, they stand about 20 feet tall and are lighted at night. A number of photos of these teepees from various locations can be found on the internet but there is no information available on the identity of the artist/designer.
