A blue plaque on the Chapel street side of a corner shop, of Bridge street and Chapel street noting this site as an Old Coaching time Post Office.


The plaque reads;-

The Old Post Office

The original Post Office of coaching days. The
Ladies of Llangollen lodged here before they
bought Plas Newydd in 1780. The Post Office
moved next door to the Royal Hotel in the early
19th century and later this building became the
Workingman's Institute, housing a library.
