Acadia National Park has several locations where visitors can obtain information about the park; this 3D map is located in Hulls Cove Visitors Information Center/Park Headquarters which is located on Bar Harbor Road, near Hull Cove.
Inside the VIC, is this 3D map of the National Park, and also has the added information of how glaciers helped to shape the park, creating hills and valleys as the glaciers moved across the land.
The park entrance fee (per car for a seven-day pass) is:
$20 June 23 through early October
$10 May 1 to June 22 and early October to October 31

By Car: From Boston take I-95 north to Augusta, Maine, then Route 3 east to Ellsworth, and on to Mount Desert Island. For an alternate route, continue on I-95 north to Bangor, Maine, then take Route 1A east to Ellsworth. In Ellsworth, take Route 3 to Mount Desert Island.
