The Winthrop Brewing Company opened its doors in June of 1993. The brew house is an 8-barrel system with the capacity to brew up to about 1000 barrels a year. We currently have 5 ales that are brewed year-round: Outlaw Pale Ale, Hopalong Red Ale, Grampa Clem's Brown Ale, Black Canyon Porter and Grizzly Paw Honey Rye. We also offer seasonal specialty ales such as: Boulder Creek Golden Bock, IPA, OctoberWest Ale, Jingle Bell Ale, Arctic Blast, Tombstone Barley Wine & Uncle Bufords Scottish Ale. We also offer a 900sq. ft. Pub and restaurant with an outside deck and riverside beer garden for summer dinning. Our Pub and restaurant is open year-round and serves lunch and dinner featuring appetizers, pizza, soups, salads, speciality sandwiches, burgers and entrees. Live music is offered every Friday night with an Open Mic Jam. The Pub also offers a unique collection of cigeratte lighters, old guns, beer bottles, lips and other interesting assortments.
I personally tried 5 of the bears while I was there. I personally liked Granpa Clems Brown Ale and the Black Canyon Porter the best. The Grizzly Paw Honey Rye was very complex in its flavor and changed flavors after each drink many times.
Also had the Panko Fish and Chips which is one of their more popular food itesm. They were very good, a huge portion of food and I would recomned them to others.
