Across from the stately Pacific County Courthouse are some lovely older homes, reminicent of the wealth that once was found in South Bend. These two white lion statues seem to growl at the folks across the street at the courthouse. I'm not sure if they are upset at the never-ending activity, and are wishing for some peace and quiet in the neighborhood, or if they are upset that they must remain at their posts and are not able to run across the street and set the government on a different course.
