This memorial grove is at the Hoffstadt Visitor Centre on the way to Johnston Observatory.

Small wooded grove is to the right of the visitor centre. It is very simple, a small treed spit with a plaque giving the names of those who died in the 1980 eruption. A peaceful spot to pause and reflect that these were real people, in the wrong place at the wrong time.
