Unterhalb des ehemaligen Benediktinerordens St. Michael befand sich einst der Weinberg des Bischofs. Hier, am Hang des Michelsberg zwischen den Weinstöcken, findet sich dieser Trockenbrunnen aus Beton und eingelassenen Rebstöcken (250 x 250 x 175 cm) mit einer aufgesetzten Schale aus Granit (Ø 130 cm).
Die Skulptur "Wandelung" ist ein Beitrag des Internationalen Künstlerhauses Villa Concordia zu den Feierlichkeiten zum 1000jährigen Jubiläum des Bistums Bamberg.
Kazuo Katase (* 1947) ist ein japanischer Künstler und Bühnenbilder, er arbeitet mit den unterschiedlichsten Medien, etwa Malerei, Plastik oder Fotografie.
Below the former Benedictine monastery of St. Michael was once the vineyard of the bishop. Here, on the slopes of Mount Michelsberg between the vines, is this dry fountain made of concrete and embedded vines (250 x 250 x 175 cm) with an attached bowl made of granite (Ø 130 cm).
The sculpture "Wandelung" (Transformation) is a contribution of the Internationales Künstlerhaus Villa Concordia to the celebrations of the 1000th anniversary of the Diocese of Bamberg.
