Anlässlich der Landesgartenschau im Jahre 1990 entstand in Würzburg der
Japanische Garten als ein Beitrag der japanischen Partnerstadt Otsu.
Der Japangarten ist benannt nach der heutigen Präfektur Shiga.
Otsu ist eine der größeren Städte dieser Region am Biwa-See.
Er stellt eine Miniatur der Landschaft um den Biwa-See dar.

On the occasion of the State Garden Show in 1990 was in Würzburg
Japanese garden as a contribution of the Japanese sister city of Otsu.
The Japan garden is named after today's Shiga Prefecture.
Otsu is one of the larger cities of this region on Lake Biwa.
He represents a miniature of the landscape around the Lake Biwa
