Sunflowers 3D mural - Willemstad, Curacao - Murals on Waymarking.com

This untitled 3D mural depicting colorful sunflowers and pedestals (plus a few small birds / butterflies mixed in between) adorn the wall of a small alleyway just a block from Gomezplein (Gomez Plaza) in the heart of downtown Willemstad, Curacao.

The mural was created by Nena Sanchez, a native Curacaoan who -- per her own account -- "grew up surrounded by sunlight and the beautiful bright colors of the Caribbean blue skies and turquoise waters, which filled her with inspiration". She draws her particular painting style from the local folklore and has an art gallery just a few steps from this mural, near the aforementioned plaza.
