The Bridgewater, Virginia station has been moved from its original location to Oakdale Park as a way of preserving the building. 100+ years ago the tracks through Bridgewater were busy hauling agricultural products, manufactured items, timber, and ore from the mountains. The station is evidence that it was a popular mode of transportation for people too. Those days have long passed, but the station and loading dock lives on next to a soccer field/track in this pleasant town park.
The outside of the station is open to the public, but inside access is not.
