Rumsey is a vanishingly small hamlet in central Alberta about 75 km. from nowhere, or about 30 km. east on Highway 585 from the town of Trochu, then a couple of km. south.

Rumsey is an economical town, if nothing else, as they have managed to house their town hall, library, post office and fire hall all in a single building. The fire hall is in the east side of the building on First Avenue, at Main Street.
The fire department would most certainly be all volunteer, given the size of the community. The only piece of apparatus that we are aware of is a 1970 International Loadstar/King tanker (200/1000) (SN#70009). King-Seagrave was created in 1956, following the bankruptcy of Bickle-Seagrave.
Atop and in the front of the fire hall are a small weather station and a siren, mounted on the communications antenna and a pole/pipe, respectively.
