The Cache National Forest was created on July 1, 1908 by the U.S. Forest Service. It is part of the much larger Wasach-Cache National Forest which totals 1,607,177 acres of land.
The Cache portion of the forest has a land area of 701,453 acres (43% of the total Wasach-Cache acreage) and extends into both Utah and Idaho. This district has 2 ranger offices, one here in Logan and the other in Ogden, Utah.
