Large Size of Church
A Presbyterian Church was first built in Midland in 1878-1879. In 1887, after breaking from a partnership with the Pentanguishene and Wyebridge congregations, a new church was built but that was not the end of the story. That church was subsequently torn down in 1902 and the new church, the current one, was opened in 1903.
This was one the few congregations that did not join the United Church of Canada when it was formed in the 1920's from a merger of Methodist, Congregationalist and most Presbyterian churches.
Date the Church was built, dedicated or cornerstone laid: 01/01/1903
