Note that closing times may change, subject to availability of food: QDV has seen them close as early as 8 PM on a weeknight. It is a truism in the world of barbecue that the best stuff goes fast, so arrive early. Hutchins is very popular, and even seating can be problematical during the rush hours of lunch and dinner. There are a few tables outside, and there is a drive-thru, too.
There are plenty of options here: Brisket (chopped and sliced), ribs, sausage (regular, jalapeño, and hot links), chicken, turkey, ham, and pulled pork. You may order your food by the pound, or there are plate and sandwich options that include a couple of sides that you'll pick, cafeteria style, like potato salad, fried okra, cole slaw, corn, macaroni salad, broccoli salad, baked beans, pinto beans, green beans, and mac and cheese. Their catfish baskets are very popular, and one can also order burgers, chicken sandwiches, and baked potatoes (with meat or not).
Soft drinks, coffee, and the ubiquitous iced tea are available, all available from their self-serve area. For those who dine in, they have a free dessert bar, with peach cobbler, banana pudding, and soft-serve ice cream.
