Almost all of the sculptures in Oslo's Frogner Park (there are approximately 150) are by Gustav Vigeland. This is just one of them and is located on the western side of the central bridge at the northern end.
It depicts a a man, perhaps a grandfather with a young boy, perhaps 6 or 7 years of age. Both figures are naked and the boy stands on the man's feet standing in the same direction. The man holds the boy's arms as the bou looks up at the man's face.
Unfortunately, none of Vigeland's works have placards which inform us of a title for the piece...and the poster of this Waymark was unable to find a catalogue online. The name of the Waymark will be amended if additional information comes forth indicating the work's true title.
Vigeland constructed the sculptures from 1924 to 1944...but again, there is no information at the site about each individual piece's date.
