Jeddo Tunnel (Also called the Jeddo Mine Tunnel)is one of the coal region's biggest di8scharges of mine water. The tunnel is 5 miles long and was constructed between 1891 and 1894. At the time it was the largest mine drainage tunnel in the world. The tunnel drains 5 large coal basins and 9 major minepools via gravity of close to 33 square miles. The average drainage is 40,000 US gallons per minute. The tunnel is located in Fritzingertown, near Drums, PA.
