This is the little Needles ferry on Highway 6, one of the many free ferries in the province of BC.

The Needles Ferry on Highway 6 crosses Upper Arrow Lake at Fauquier. It's a little diesel driven ferry that can accommodate about 20 cars. According to the sign it runs from 5:15 AM to 9:45 PM, but will also shuttle you across after hours in a pinch. Crossing only takes about 10 minutes. This ferry is one of the many free ferries run by the province of BC in the interior.
Fauquier is about 59 kilometres south of Nakusp on Highway 6 and about 130 kilopmetres southeast of Vernon in the Okanagan.
DAILY SCHEDULE:
Every 30 minutes from Fauquier 5:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Every 30 minutes from Needles 5:15 a.m. – 9:45 p.m.
On demand 10:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.
