Built in the 1986 over the river Ganges, Ram Jhula is a landmark of Rishikesh. It is located 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) north of Rishikesh at Muni Ki Reti. There are some of the Hindu ashrams and religious centers like "Gita Bhawan", and "Swargashram" located nearby. It is also a connecting bridge between Swargashram, Gita Bhawan and other temples on the left bank of the Ganges and Sivananda Ashram on the right bank of the river. Though similar in design, this bridge is bigger than Lakshman Jhula. Ram Jhula has been constructed with a span of 750 feet (230 m).
Our pictures were taken during a boat ride on the river Ganges.
