The Marsh family purchased the home in 1900, and it served as their residence for 92 years. Henry B. Marsh served as Assistant Attorney General for future Governor James S. Hogg before serving as Tyler City Attorney and partner in the firm of Marsh, McIllwaine & Fitzgerald.
Used as a residence for the last 117 years, the current owners recently had the zoning changed to adaptive reuse, which allows for low intensity commercial or office activities such as a law office or real estate office, or can remain as a residence. It has six rooms that could be offices with an updated kitchen and three bathrooms. Beautiful entry and staircase would make a stately reception area.
