What used to be the Olean Public Library located at 116 S. Union St. was built in 1909 and is now housing a restaurant. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
The architect was Edward L. Tilton and it is from a Beaux Arts architectural style.
The roman numerals MCMIX are engraved on the front of the building just over the main entrance.
An inscription is also engraved on the front corner of the building.
