Built in 1939, this amazing US Post Office was used as a fall out shelter. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Viroqua Downtown Historic District. The building features a mural painted by Forrest Flower of Portage, WI within the building. The building was designed by Louis A. Simon, supervising architect of the US Treasury and features the "stripped Classicism" style which he was known for during the 30's and 40's.
