This house is located on Ovocny trh [EN: Fruit Market]. Ovocny trh is a square between the Czech Estates Theatre and the building House of the Black Madonna [CZ: U Cerné Matky Boží].
The curiosity of this house is that the house passes through one of the first passages in city.

The house is reversed its front into the Fruit Market and it is one of the oldest buildings in the Old Town of Prague. Arguably, that was before the founding of the city and the construction of fortifications in the 13th century. The monument may be early Gothic cellar in the courtyard rear of the building and further fragments of masonry. Probably it was the tower house, which was later built in the 14th century to today tracts street line. In 1381 the house was purchased by the Czech King Wenceslas IV. for the University of Prague, and then there was the building alterations established by the university college. Its name derives from the person of the donor.
