According to the plaque, this simple house just north of Norton and North Streets in Weymouth, Massachusetts, was the "birthplace of Abigail Adams - Abigail Smith Adams, born in 1744, lived in this house until her marriage 1764" adding that "this building restored by the Abigail Adams Historical Society of Weymouth, incorporated 1947".
The building is by modern day standards a humble building, like many historic birthplaces, but in its day was probably a fine house indeed.
