The fiberglass structure was built by artist Mark Cline. He completed the structure in 2013 and the Stonehenge replica been catching the eye of those who happen to look beyond the trees. Cline said he was hired by George Barber of Barber Motorsports Park, which is located in Birmingham. The structure is situated near Barber Marina.
Bamahenge is free and open to the general public. There are no signs. Directions to Bamahenge: Drive U.S. 98 either eight miles east of Foley or 21 miles west of Pensacola. Turn south on County Road 95. Drive for five miles. Turn right onto Fish Trap Road. Drive a half-mile. Turn left onto Leiterman Road. Drive one mile. Bamahenge is on the right, set back about 100 yards beyond some trees. Visible from the road.
