Portus Refugium (latin for Port Refuge) is a monument in downtown Port Burwell, Ontario. The monument consists of an old red and white light tower with a statue of a mariner and ships wheel on top. A plaque at the base states:
"This tower and mariner have been established to immortalize the many mariners of the Port Burwell area having served on Lake Erie.
Ships wheel donated in memory of Captain Lewis Stewart by Madeline Stewart and Family"
The monument was dedicated in July 2000 by the Port Burwell Historical Society. Nearby is the Port Burwell lighthouse and Port Burwell Maritime Museum
