This dated stone is located on the Port Burwell Lighthouse in Port Burwell, Ontario. The lighthouse was built in 1840 and served until 1962 when it was decommissioned and bought by the town. The historical society restored the structure in 1986.
The Port Burwell Lighthouse is one of the oldest lighthouses in Canada and the oldest wooden Canadian lighthouse on Lake Erie.
