The plaque is on the side of the entrance to the club. The club was added to the National Register of Historic Place in 1988.
The sign reads: "Corona Historic Preservation Society. Historic Site #14. Woman's Improvement Club. This craftsman style building, based upon a Welsh church, was built in 1913. The all-volunteer organization was founded in 1899 to improve the community through numerous innovative service projects. Architect: Thomas E Preston. Contractor: R.P. Mussetter. "
